A sales representative or sales agency representing ROI brands is responsible for all aspects of regional strategy development, sales and service within the defined territory. This includes, but is not limited to, executing regional and account level strategies, product presentations, pre-season and in-season order management, staff training and education, and territory dealer and consumer events.
You are not just a brand representative, you consider yourself a brand ambassador, and you are a results-driven leader. Your primary focus is to provide exceptional regional and account-level insight and service leading to long-term business partnerships and sustainable brand and sales growth. You will represent a collection of best-in-class brands that are deeply rooted in the outdoor sporting goods category.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute territory sales strategies aligned with corporate growth goals.
- Establish, develop and maintain exceptional partnerships with retail partners.
- Master the use of ROI’s Elastic Suite for pre-season orders, digital line presentations and ATS orders.
- Forecast seasonal sales goals and objectives.
- Actively manage pre-season and in-season sales.
- Attend ROI national sales meetings.
- Attend national trade shows as needed.
- Attend seasonal regional rep shows.
- Proactively seek opportunities to partner with retailers and vendors at local and regional consumer events.
- Effectively resolve customer service questions and challenges in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience as a sales representative in outdoor sporting goods is preferred, experience in footwear and apparel.
- Multi person agency is preferred to handle the breath of product categories and demands of the territory.
- Proven experience growing brands with concrete and sustainable distribution strategies.
- Proven ability to provide best-in-class partnership and support with your retail partners.
- Proven ability to create positive and long-term relationships with business owners, buyers, managers, and floor staff.
- Ability to have year-round presentation of brands at your showroom.
- Knowledge of and participation in outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, backpacking, climbing, and skiing.
- Results-driven, self-directed, and the ability to work collaboratively with national sales management and sales support staff at ROI head office.
